Additional Staff In County Prothonotary’s Office Test Positive For COVID

What happens in Vegas may not actually stay in Vegas, after all. An outbreak of COVID-19 in the Beaver County Prothonotary’s Office is believed by county officials to trace back to a vacation Prothonotary Michael Rossi took to the sin city with other county officials last month.

County officials say Prothonotary Michael Rossi traveled to Vegas in late October as part of a golf outing, accompanied by Commissioners Chairman Dan Camp and Chief County Clerk Tony Caltury, among others.

Rossi tested positive for COVID-19 upon his return. Camp and Caltury each got tested multiple times after Rossi fell ill, with results showing them negative for the virus. Their test results were filed with the county’s Human Resources Office.
